Job Overview:
Join our team as an Equipment Operator, Pipe Layer, Grade Checker or Civil Laborer, and play a vital role in our construction projects. We are seeking skilled individuals experienced in heavy equipment operation, pipe laying, grade checking and/or construction site labor. These skilled individuals will be responsible for operating various equipment such as excavators, dozers, dig pipe, finish grade and more to support our construction activities. Responsibilities:
– Operate heavy equipment including loaders, dozers, excavators, and other machinery efficiently and safely.
– Perform tasks such as plowing, digging, lifting, and moving materials as required on construction sites.
– Conduct utility locating to ensure safe excavation practices.
– Work in collaboration with the construction team to meet project deadlines and requirements.
– Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on-site.
– Maintain equipment by conducting regular inspections and reporting any malfunctions.
Requirements:
– Prior experience in heavy equipment operation, preferably in a construction setting.
– Familiarity with construction site operations and safety procedures.
– Ability to operate dozers, excavators, and other relevant machinery effectively.
– Knowledge of utility locating techniques is a plus.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision.
Qualified candidates will have experience installing sewer, storm and water pipes, structures, foundation excavation, mass excavation, general grading for curbs, sidewalks and roads.
R&O’s civil group builds both private and public works projects that are typically located in the greater Vancouver and Portland areas. These positions are full-time, Monday – Friday with overtime opportunities. Pre-Employment drug screening will apply.

Pay: $20.00 – $40.00 per hour
