Recently, we renovated the Barbur Boulevard Safeway in Portland, which is a 26,000 sq. ft. store originally built in 1965. We built a new podium 56,000 sq. ft. store with both on-grade and below-store parking. The new Safeway podium store provides new service department areas including the addition of a full-service department for bakery, pharmacy, meat and seafood, as well as a coffee bar. Other ground-up stores we built include Safeway #1751 in Molalla, OR, and Washington stores #3006 in Issaquah, #3285 in Bellingham, #1687 in Washougal and #1653 and #1611 in Vancouver.
